The Lenzing Group, world market leader in specialty fibers from wood, held a media event in partnership with the Conscious Fashion Campaign to launch their 2019 Earth Month Campaign entitled “From Trees, For Trees.” For the entire month of April, Lenzing’s TENCEL™ brand, along with seven of their USA retail partners, including BN3TH, BleuSalt, Triarchy Denim, Boyish Jeans, Bearaby, Hoot, and Malouf, worked with One Tree Planted in an effort to replant trees that were destroyed by wildfires in California last year.

The event welcomed media including Al Jazeera, Good Housekeeping, BOLD TV, Sportswear International, Sourcing Journal and Forbes to preview the brands and watch a panel “The Future of Sustainable Fashion & Textiles”, a discussion focused on circularity and waste reduction whilst addressing Sustainable Development Goal 14: Life Below Water and Goal 15: Life on Land.

The panel discussion was moderated by Kerry Bannigan, Founder, Conscious Fashion Campaign, with panelists Tolu Olubunmi, United Nations Advisor of the Department of Global Communication, Andreas Dorner, Lenzing’s Regional Commercial Director Textiles Europe & Americas, and Nora Shaughnessy, BN3TH’s Director of product.
