Pure London is the UK’s leading trade fashion buying event, representing womenswear, menswear, footwear, accessories and young fashion.

The Power of One campaign continued this season, highlighting the simple changes that can make a big difference. Guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) in collaboration with the Conscious Fashion Campaign, supported by the United Nations Office for Partnerships, and Common Objective, Pure London aims to educate on key issues, highlight existing and future solutions, spark much-needed conversations, and encourage the industry to take small yet powerful steps towards a sustainable future for fashion and beyond.

Kerry Bannigan, Founder of the Conscious Fashion Campaign, delivered opening remarks sharing an update regarding the Power of One partnership. The show’s own pledge to be Fantastic NOT Plastic continued with its aim to cut down on single use plastics. The Press and Influencer Breakfast, co-hosted by the Conscious Fashion Campaign and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, highlighted the efforts Pure London and ITE shows are making to support the United Nations Global Sustainable Development Goals.

A final panel titled ‘Defining Sustainability, Where does the fashion industry go now?’ dissected the policy, analysed the tech innovation and shared how to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Moderator Kerry Bannigan, Conscious Fashion Campaign was joined by Pauline Op de Beeck, Carbon Trust; Tamara Clink, Fashion Roundtable and Melanie Traub, People Tree.
