Neonyt FW19, the global hub for fashion, sustainability and innovation consisted of the Neonyt Trade Fair, the conferences Fashionsustain by Messe Frankfurt and #Fashiontech by Premium Group as well as the design thinking format Thinkathon, the Neonyt Fashion Show, showcases and the influencer and blogger event Prepeek. The hub replaces the former trade fair duo of the Ethical Fashion Show Berlin and Greenshowroom. The event welcomed 7,000 attendees and featured 150 brands from 24 countries. Online engagement included 170,000 web users and +50,000 on social media.
The Conscious Fashion Campaign hosted a content studio interviewing exhibiting fashion brands about their sustainable business practices. Kerry Bannigan, Founder of the Conscious Fashion Campaign, joined a series of panels to share the vision of initiative and the key roles that industry stakeholders can play to drive the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Panels included joining WWF, We Are SpinDye and Sustainable Apparel Coalition to discuss “Water Stewardship — Industry Collaborations on the Rise” as well as influencer led discussion “From Awareness to Impact. Influencers, the new SDG ambassadors?” focused on how to use innovation platforms as communication for good.
