Ethically Woven, a UK-based immersive impact event agency, continues partnership with the Conscious Fashion Campaign integrating the Sustainable Development Goals at major culture and lifestyle events including Lovebox, the three-day music festival founded by DJs Groove Armada with over 60,000 attendees and The Garmhaus pop-ups in three cities: Manchester, Leeds and Newcastle.

Ethically Woven promotes responsible consumption and production through sustainable fashion, food and beauty events for some of the largest tradeshow, conference, festival and lifestyle brands in the world. From their founding, the company has been committed to the Conscious Fashion Campaign to align with the Sustainable Development Goals and accelerate their achievement through education, participation and entertainment.

The Conscious Fashion Campaign, in collaboration with the United Nations Office for Partnerships, engages global industry events to commit to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. The initiative seeks to inspire worldwide prominent fashion events to implement responsible marketing, operations and logistics that are mindful of social, economic and environmental impact.

Zak Avery, Creative Director and co-founder of Ethically Woven, says: “Three times per year, The Garmhaus pop-up tours feature pop-up markets with sustainable vendors and live entertainment, along with demonstrations, discussions and hands-on workshops. In addition to entertaining and informing attendees, our events introduce growing sustainable businesses to new buyers, distributors and audiences. For example, we’ve partnered with Depop before to develop in-person retail opportunities for their online sellers in the UK and will work them internationally going forward.”

Noshua Watson, Managing Director and co-founder of Ethically Woven, explains: “Fashion and lifestyle event producers face the challenge of delivering increasingly original and immersive experiences to attendees and customers who now also demand authentic and authoritative sustainability content. Partnering with Conscious Fashion Campaign gives us a framework for aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals and connects us with a network of peer organisations who shape global influences and strive for SDG impact.”

Ethically Woven will curate a lifestyle program at the upcoming major lifestyle events highlighting the Sustainable Development Goals including a market place, catwalk show, and initiatives for attendees to upcycle and recycle their festival and event wear.

Kerry Bannigan, Founder of the Conscious Fashion Campaign, comments: “Ethically Woven design fashion event content that not only promotes the Sustainable Development Goals but also makes them tangible and realistic for businesses and individuals to connect with and action. We are excited for our collaboration to incorporate circular solutions, highlight key innovations and facilitate knowledge sharing at these major events.”.

Ongoing updates of the full summer schedule of festival and tradeshow events and Autumn 2020 The Garmhaus cities are announced @ethicallywoven on Instagram and Facebook.
