The Conscious Fashion Campaign partners with ChangeNOW 2020 to support the first World Expo for global solutions from 30 January to 1 February, 2020 at the Grand Palais, Paris. The summit’s goal is to showcase urgent ideas for the 21st century, develop and accelerate concrete solutions, and encourage large-scale action and collaboration between private and public stakeholders. ChangeNOW will present 1,000 solutions to more than 20,000 participants from 100+ countries, featuring a line-up of 250 speakers, including Nicolas Hulot, Burning Man Project CEO Marian Goodell, Ocean Cleanup founder Boyan Slat, Solar Impulse Foundation cofounder Bertrand Piccard, and more. The 3-day program will include talks, networking sessions, immersive experiences and an arts and cinema festival.

The Conscious Fashion Campaign, in collaboration with the United Nations Office for Partnerships, engages global industry events to commit to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. The initiative champions fashion as an influential sector to address the world’s most pressing issues and lead a future that leaves no one behind. The campaign is dedicated to driving change through advocacy, education and engagement of industry stakeholders to create a sustainable future for all.

Coming together under the glass dome of the Grand Palais, actors of change from all over the world will present solutions responding to global warming, biodiversity preservation, finite resource management, and the human dimension of inclusive transitions. These solutions fall under 10 major themes: circular economy; health and well-being; sustainable fashion; sustainable cities and mobility; Eco-packaging; clean energy; ocean and water; food, agriculture and biodiversity; and inclusion and education.

Sustainable fashion discussions include a keynote by Bert van Son, CEO and Founder, MUD Jeans, a round table led by Thomas Busuttil, Founder and General Manager, Imagin’able and a fireside chat with Suzy Amis Cameron, Founder, Red Carpet Green Dress. Exhibiting scalable fashion solutions that have a positive impact on the planet and the society include OTH (upcycled shoes), Recyc Leather (upcycled leather), Viji (scanning clothing origin), WeDressFair (fair marketplace), Pili (natural color), Natural Fiber Welding (vegetal leather), Mud Jeans (circular jeans) and Red Carpet Green Dress.

The Conscious Fashion Campaign seeks to inspire worldwide prominent fashion industry tradeshows, fashion weeks, conferences and speaker series to implement responsible marketing, operations and logistics that are mindful of social, economic and environmental impact. To achieve the 2030 agenda the Conscious Fashion Campaign urges industry event leaders to integrate the Sustainable Development Goals into their business models, incorporate circular production solutions, highlight key innovations and facilitate knowledge share.

With the support of the Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy, the Global Fund for Cities Development (FMDV), R20, Climate-KIC and the UNESCO for Sustainable Cities program, delegates from 50 cities and regions will meet in Paris to share experiences and solutions in creating and leading sustainable cities on Friday 31 January.
