The September edition of the Paris fashion fair Who’s Next will present “IMPACT – Act Now for Positive Fashion”. IMPACT is an initiative dedicated to uniting the sustainable fashion industry including an eclectic range of companies, brands, clubs and associations committed to a more sustainable and clean fashion industry.

Taking place September 6th – 9th, 2019 IMPACT will highlight positive initiatives and bring together key industry players with the aim to strengthen existing solutions and co-create new sustainable solutions for production, distribution and consumption. IMPACT sees itself as a hybrid event that will address both professionals and non-professionals who want to exchange, share, collaborate, experience and commit themselves in the field of sustainability. In addition to over 50 sustainable brands that will showcase their collection at IMPACT there are start-ups, innovative solutions, talks, pop-up stores and workshops.

The sustainable fashion event will present four themes:

  • Made by – which values responsible, transparent production and the know-how of the entire production chain from raw materials and fabrics to the final product.
  • Old is the new black – which promotes secondhand clothing, recycling and upcycling.
  • The future is now – which was created to bring together Green Tech and fashion to drive this change with innovation.
  • Slow is beautiful- which encourages controlled and responsible production, distribution and consumption.

Kerry Bannigan, Founder, Conscious Fashion Campaign shares: “As a supporting founding partner we are keen to connect with industry leaders and innovators who understand the urgency to champion fashion as an influential sector in order to address the world’s most pressing issues.”

The Conscious Fashion Campaign, supported by the United Nations Office for Partnerships, will have a presence at IMPACT welcoming brands and attendees to share their efforts in sustainable fashion as well as learn more about the Sustainable Development Goals. The team will join various panel discussions reviewing the imperative work of brands to drive change and ensure that as an industry we collaborate for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Stakeholders of the sustainable fashion industry will be gathering under one roof for IMPACT. All are motivated by the same social and environmental values, promoting craftsmanship and innovation. The fashion community is well on their way to building the future of the industry together, from the consumer to the manufacturer, the designer to the supplier.

WSN share the mission to cast light on this industry and its positive solutions for the future of fashion. With IMPACT they are committed to supporting the ongoing progress, and to creating a more proactive fashion industry for future generations.

More than 25 years after its creation, Who’s Next is the international trade show leader for women’s fashion in Europe. In September and January the event brings around 45,000 visitors to the Parc des Expositions at the Porte de Versailles in Paris to visit 1,300 French and international ready-to-wear brands. Buyers, brands, journalists and trendsetters from more than 100 countries together create the trends for each season over 4 days of networking, conferences, lifestyle activities and celebrations.
